awful August 28, 2010 Jane Edith Wilson (los angeles) it smells HORRIBLE. it smells so bad that the blow out i am trying to preserve will now have to be washed when i come home tonight. i hope no one throws up when they smell my hair. i am wondering if the person who mailed this to me sent me dried out toilet bleach by mistake... that is what it smells like. deep sigh.
Great light powder July 28, 2010 Hayden's Mommy (So. Cal.) I love this stuff. My hair gets a little greasy after 24 hours, and I don't want to wash my hair every day or my fine, blond hair gets damaged. This stuff is great, it is not heavy and sticky like some of the dry shampoos. It is light and does not creat the pouffy look that some of the spray dry shampoos seem to try and create, it just seems to take away the greasies and leave your hair clean and smelling fresh. The only problem is the only place I can find it is Sephora. I wish they carried this product at more beauty supplies stores.
Save your $ June 26, 2010 Amy Osborn (Michigan) The only positive thing I can say about this product is that it made my hair smell nice (if you like lemon verbena -- many other reviewers thought it was too strong of a smell). It certainly did not make my hair feel anywhere close to "clean," and it turned my dark brown hair a dusty light brown (as expected). My hair is fine texture, thick, shoulder-length, and oily enough that I need to wash it every day. I tried using this product less than 24 hours after washing my hair (it is summer and humid, so my hair gets oily faster)... I ended up taking a shower within the hour because it just felt dirty. If you want to use a powder to absorb oil temporarily, just use cornstarch. You'll save a bunch of money; yes, it'll be "dusty" looking, but so is this!!!
Great for greasy May 12, 2010 Lindow Wicker (Denver, CO) I carry this little bottle in my purse. I sprinkle some along my hairline around my face if my hair is looking a little greasy or if I didn't have time to take a shower (this is the BEST product to use if you are camping for a few days). It smells great and makes my hair look fantastic. I work it in to my scalp with my fingers. It also adds volume but not too much. Instead of my hair looking greasy, limp, heavy and flat it makes it look light, airy, smooth and shiny without the grease. My all time favorite new beauty find.
Not for dark hair April 25, 2010 Stephanie in NJ (New Jersey) I have fine dark hair. I wash every other day but those inbetween days my hair gets oily only at the crown. I used another brand of spray dry shampoo that worked great but was discontinued. So I went off in search of a new brand. I gave this a try and let me just say, it's NOT good for dark hair. When applied directly to my hair, and I used a tiny, tiny bit, the crown of my head turned white. Hair & scalp... so I set to work massaging, rubbing, brushing, etc and it finally went away but my hair looked no less oily then before. I'm sure if I applied more it probably would have been better but then I would have been stuck with white hair. I did as one reviewer had commented which was to apply the powder to my hand, rub my 2 hands together & then work into my hair. This provided a solution to no white in my hair but again, no change in the appearance of my hair. I've since found another spray dry shampoo and think I will stick with that & away from the powders!
